Wanna helps people meet through plans. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data and we don’t run ads or third-party trackers.
What we collect
- Account: an anonymous identifier from Sign in with Apple, or the email address you sign in with (used only to send you sign-in codes — never shown to anyone or used for marketing).
- Profile: first name, birthday (shown as age), gender, what you’re here for, photos, an optional voice intro and the short “this week” notes you write.
- Approximate location: when you allow it, rounded to about 1 km, to show plans nearby. Other people never see your location; plans without an exact venue only show a rough distance (in 5 km steps).
- Plans & messages: plans you post, who you join, and chats with people you match with.
- Safety: reports and blocks you make, so our moderators can act on them.
- Device token: for push notifications, if you allow them.
- Last active time: kept on our server for safety and moderation. It is never shown to other people.
Who sees what
Your profile and plans are visible to other Wanna users. Messages are visible only to you and your match (and to moderators when a conversation is reported). Your exact location and birthday are never shown: other people see your age, and a rough distance to you in whole kilometres (“Within 2 km”, “7 km away”).
Who processes your data
- Our hosting provider runs the servers that store your account, plans, messages and media.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers push notifications.
- Our email provider delivers sign-in codes if you sign in with email (it receives only your email address and the code).
Each of them processes data only to provide that service to us and is required to protect it at least as well as we do. We don’t sell data, show ads, or share data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your account, profile, photos and voice intro: until you delete your account.
- Plans: they leave the feed when their time passes and are deleted with your account.
- Messages: kept so both people can see their chat, and deleted when the account that sent them is deleted.
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Approximate location: replaced each time you open the app.
- Reports: kept by our moderators for safety, even after an account is deleted, together with the last messages of the reported chat (from both people in it).
- Unfinished sign-ups: deleted, photos included, once they have been neither finished nor opened for 30 days.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, voice intro, plans and messages. Reports other people made about an account are kept by our moderators for safety. If an account that was reported or blocked is deleted, we keep a one-way fingerprint of how it signed in (never the email address or Apple ID itself) with those reports and blocks for up to two years after the account is deleted (or after a later ban), so they can’t be erased by deleting the account and signing up again.
