How it works

  1. Post a plan. Finish the sentence “Wanna…?”, pick when and where (any place on Apple Maps) and a vibe: Friends, Dating or Open to both.
  2. People nearby tap “I’m in”. They say yes to the plan, not to a face. Only the host sees who’s in.
  3. The host picks one. “It’s a plan!” opens a private chat with what, when and where pinned on top, and directions one tap away.

What’s different

Please don’t say

Wanna is brand new, so there are no user numbers to quote and no ratings or reviews yet. Please don’t describe it as popular, and please spell the website with three n’s: wannna.app. Profiles aren’t ID-verified, so please don’t call it “verified”.

From the founder

“Swipe apps start with faces and hope for a plan. Wanna starts with the plan, and you pick who’s in.” — the Wanna team

“Swipe apps get you a match. Wanna gets you out the door.”

Descriptions you can use

Short (about 30 words)

Wanna is an iPhone app for meeting new people nearby through plans, not swipes. Post what you wanna do, people nearby tap “I’m in”, and you pick one. Made in Bangkok.

Long (about 100 words)

Wanna replaces swiping with plans. You post something you actually want to do, like “Wanna get ramen after work?”, with a time, a place on Apple Maps and a vibe: Friends, Dating or Open to both. People nearby tap “I’m in”. The host sees who’s in and picks one person, and “It’s a plan!” opens a private chat with the plan pinned on top. Everyone else gets a kind heads-up instead of silence, and End kindly sends a polite goodbye in a few taps. Wanna is free, with no ads, trackers or in-app purchases. It’s for iPhone, 18+, starting in Bangkok.
